Welcome to MoneyTrack ("we," "our," or "us"). We are committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle your information when you use our MoneyTrack mobile application.

1. Information We Collect

1.1 Information You Provide

MoneyTrack allows you to input the following information solely for the purpose of tracking your finances within the app:

• Transaction Data: Income and expense amounts, categories, dates, and notes
• Budget Data: Monthly budget amounts for various spending categories
• Savings Goals: Target amounts and progress toward your savings goals
• App Preferences: Currency selection, dark mode settings, and other display preferences

All of this data is stored exclusively on your device's local storage using the built-in Android Room Database. It is never transmitted to any external server, cloud service, or third party.

1.2 Information We Do NOT Collect

We want to be clear — MoneyTrack does NOT collect:

• Personal identification information (name, email, phone number)
• Financial account credentials (bank details, credit card numbers)
• Device location data
• Contacts or address book information
• Photos, media files, or documents
• Browsing history or usage analytics
• Any data from other apps on your device

2. How We Use Your Information

The information you enter into MoneyTrack is used exclusively to provide you with the app's core functionality:

• To display your income and expense summaries on the dashboard
• To calculate and display your budget progress
• To track your savings goal achievements
• To generate analytics and charts about your spending patterns
• To export your transaction data as CSV files when you choose to
• To remember your app preferences (currency, theme)

No data processing occurs outside of your device. We do not analyze, mine, or sell your data for any purpose.

3. Data Storage and Security

3.1 Local Storage

All your data is stored locally on your Android device using the Room Database, which is Android's built-in secure SQLite database system. Your data remains on your device at all times and is never uploaded to any cloud or remote server.

3.2 Data Security

We take reasonable measures to protect your information:

• All data is stored in the app's private storage area, which is sandboxed by the Android operating system
• Other apps cannot access MoneyTrack's database
• No data is transmitted over the internet (except ad content from AdMob)
• The app does not require any special permissions beyond internet access for ads

4. Third-Party Services

4.1 Google AdMob

MoneyTrack uses Google AdMob to display advertisements within the app. AdMob may collect certain device information to serve relevant ads, including:

AdMob's data collection is governed by Google's Privacy Policy. You can opt out of personalized advertising by:

• Going to your Android Settings → Google → Ads → Opt out of Ads Personalization
• Or resetting your advertising ID in the same settings

4.2 No Other Third Parties

MoneyTrack does not integrate with any other third-party services, SDKs, or analytics platforms. We do not use Google Analytics, Firebase Analytics, Facebook SDK, or any other tracking service.

5. Data Sharing

We do NOT share your personal or financial data with anyone. Specifically:

• We do not sell, rent, or trade your data
• We do not share your data with advertisers (AdMob receives only device-level data as described above)
• We do not share your data with any government agencies unless legally required
• We do not share your data with any business partners or affiliates
• We do not use your data for credit checking or consumer reporting

6. Children's Privacy

MoneyTrack is not directed to children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will take appropriate action. Since we do not collect any personal data on our servers, your child's financial entries remain only on their device.

7. Your Rights and Choices

You have full control over your data:

• View your data: All your transaction, budget, and goal data is visible within the app
• Export your data: Use the CSV export feature in Settings to download your transaction history
• Delete your data: Use the "Delete All Data" option in Settings, or uninstall the app to remove all data
• Opt out of ads personalization: Adjust your Android advertising settings as described in Section 4.1
• Change preferences: Modify currency, theme, and other settings at any time in the app

8. Data Retention

Your data is retained on your device for as long as you have the app installed. If you uninstall the app, all locally stored data is permanently deleted and cannot be recovered. We have no ability to restore your data since it is never backed up to any external server.

9. International Users

MoneyTrack is available worldwide. Since all data is stored locally on your device, your data remains within your physical possession at all times and is subject to the laws of your jurisdiction. We do not transfer any data across borders because no data ever leaves your device.

10. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make significant changes, we will:

• Update the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page
• Notify you through an in-app notification or announcement
• Post the updated policy on this page

Your continued use of the app after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated Privacy Policy.

11. Permissions Required by the App

Permission	Why We Need It
INTERNET	Required to load advertisements from Google AdMob. No other internet usage.
ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE	Required by AdMob to check internet connectivity before loading ads.
POST_NOTIFICATIONS (Android 13+)	Optional - to show daily financial summary and budget alerts. You can deny this.

MoneyTrack does NOT request: Camera, microphone, location, contacts, SMS, phone, storage, or any other sensitive permissions.
